Fox Sports pundit Skip Bayless predicted Wisconsin will beat Ohio State for the Big Ten championship. The outspoken Bayless recently said the following on his show “Undisputed”: I got Wisconsin in this game, which will eliminate all this hocus pocus about Alabama…The last three weeks I watched them crush Iowa, I watched them beat Michigan soundly and I watched them go to Minnesota. Minnesota’s not bad and they just crushed them 31 to nothing. This is a really good college football team that is extremely well coached on both sides of the ball. It’s the number two defense in efficiency in the country, and Alex Hornibrook is a very good college quarterback. Nice to see Bayless has finally come around and is not talking about some common sense sports points. It’s been a long time coming, but I’d like to personally welcome him to the team. Glad to have one of the most notable guys in sports on the team. Most people in the sports media aren’t taking my guys in Madison … [Read more...] about Skip Bayless Finally Says Something Smart – Makes Great College Football Pick

A matter of survival for our leading golfers
Golfers in their various guises have to get by and stock their larders like everyone else. Two such gents in contrasting employment fought out the New Zealand Super 6s final at the Manawatū Golf Club on Sunday. Masterton electrician, Kerry Mountcastle, was the victor when he got the ball to rip back closer to the pin on the 93-metre playoff hole than did professional Josh Geary. There were 10 years in age between them, and in these infectious times, Mountcastle is probably as well off on wages as most of our domestic professionals. He declared afterwards that from 8am on Monday he'd be back installing solar panels.
