Facebook has officially reached one billion active users, Facebook CEO and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg has announced. In an official blog post , he writes: This morning, there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month. If you're reading this: thank you for giving me and my little team the honor of serving you. Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life. I am committed to working every day to make Facebook better for you, and hopefully together one day we will be able to connect the rest of the world too. Facebook had 955 million active users in July 2012, and though gaining 45 million users is not a small task, it seems as if the world's biggest online social network took a little bit more time than expected reaching the 1 billion milestone. Still, it's an enormous number, dwarfing most other players in the social networking space by orders of magnitude. The 25 Best Bob Dylan Albums of All Time
Bob Dylan's decades-spanning career has undergone numerous ebbs and flows. Armed with an intensely deep knowledge of American music, he first emerged from the Greenwich Village folk scene as the voice of dissent against various institutions of oppression. When he plugged in at the Newport Festival in 1965, the world's foremost protest singer received some backlash of his own . All was forgiven over the following years as he churned out classic album after classic album, sliding from one style or story to the next with unparalleled ease. On Tuesday, it had been 24 hours since the news leaked: Chely Wright is now the first openly gay performer in country music. "It's been an interesting day for me," said Wright, 39, as she was about to launch a press tour that included a stop on the Today show. "Wonderful, dynamic, emotional, and great." Wright, whose songs include the hit "Single White Female," decided she would come out four years ago, but it was a long and self-reflective process. In that time, she wrote her memoirs, Like Me, and a new album, Lifted Off the Ground, that includes a song about a woman. While it seems as though it's not as hard for celebrities to come out of the closet now—Lance Bass, Neil Patrick Harris, Ricky Martin—country music is a different beast. "The Nashville music industry has yet to offer a gay artist," Wright says, though she won't disclose whether there are other closeted country superstars. "I don't want to invite founded or unfounded speculation on anyone," she says. Wright … [Read more...] about Country Singer Chely Wright Comes Out as Lesbian

West Drury Holding Limited (WDHL) purchased a $9.2 million property in Drury, in rural south Auckland, in 2017 without disclosing a shareholder who held 39 percent of its shares was not a New Zealand citizen.
