Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj revealed that English all-rounder Ben Stokes had abused him on the opening day of the fourth Test at Motera on Thursday after he bowled a bouncer. Highlighting that it was a batting wicket, Siraj said that Stokes abused him and he informed that India skipper Virat Kohli – who then handled the situation well. “Usne mujhe gaali diya, toh maine Virat bhai ko bola woh. Uske baad Virat bhai ne handle kiya,” he said. “It was a batting wicket, and it was coming onto the bat nicely, so we planned to bowl patiently and keep bowling at the same spot. At stumps, India's score read 24/1 with Rohit (8) and Pujara (15) at the crease -- trailing the visitors by 181 runs in the first innings. After a disappointing show with the bat, England got off to a flying start with the ball as James Anderson struck with the third ball of the innings. The pace spearhead trapped Gill (0) in front of the stumps as India lost a wicket with no run on the board. The women's T20 World Cup in Australia was the last big-ticket event to be held before the COVID-19 pandemic brought all sporting activities to a halt in March and ECB Chief Executive Tom Harrison is hoping there will be some international women's cricket this year if everything goes as per planned. "Ultimately, we will get some international cricket, all being well. The plan is to get some international cricket for the England team later this summer.
