41-year-old Dilip Deshmukh was a repeat offender who was caught red-handed on the bus and handed over to the police A 41-year-old man has been awarded three years of rigorous imprisonment for inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl on a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) bus in 2019. While the defence lawyer tried to argue that the touch was done in a bad manner and did not constitute as a sexual assault , the special sessions court considered the victim’s statement and observed that only a girl or a woman has a better understanding of good touch and bad touch, and only the one involved could talk about the intention of the accused. Special sessions court ( POCSO ) of SH Gwalani found Dhayari resident Dilip Jalinder Deshmukh guilty under section 354 (assault or criminal force on a woman with an intent to outrage her modesty) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The Masters: Tiger Woods to repeat the ‘blueprint’ of his 2019 victory
Tiger Woods will not prepare for this year's Masters any differently to last year, as he looks to defend the Green Jacket at Augusta National in April. Woods, who underwent spinal fusion surgery in 2017, produced one of the tournament's most dramatic finishes to end an 11-year wait for a major title at the 2019 championship , coming from behind to win by a shot. The former world No 1 has been focused on Augusta since completing duties as victorious US playing captain at the Presidents Cup in Australia , and has vowed to repeat what seems a successful "blueprint." Woods said: "The plan is to prepare the same way. It worked last year, so yeah, I've got a blueprint for what I need to do." "Once [the Presidents Cup] was done, my prep has been just like it usually is: 'What do I need to do to get ready for the Masters'?" Woods also expressed the importance of peaking just ahead of the week, as well as the special public embrace he shared with his children who were at … [Read more...] about The Masters: Tiger Woods to repeat the ‘blueprint’ of his 2019 victory

HK police to strengthen ties with schools, parents
The Hong Kong Police Force will increase its outreach efforts to local schools, parents and student groups this year in a bid to build trust in the city's most visible law enforcement agency and an awareness among youngsters of why it's important to follow the law, Deputy Commissioner Raymond Siu Chak-yee said on Monday. The work will include regular briefings to explain policies on such issues as how cases involving juveniles are handled and to debunk false information and accusations that have been levied against the force on public platforms, Siu told China Daily during a one-on-one interview. Siu said the police mulled over the idea soon after the 2019 social unrest quieted down in the spring of 2020, as they found young people in the city were major victims of the often-violent street protests. Of 10,200 people arrested for crimes allegedly committed during the unrest, more than 4,000 were students, police data as of December 2019 show. Talking about his conversations with … [Read more...] about HK police to strengthen ties with schools, parents
