I am writing this on Mother’s Day, 2017, and hope that for those of us who miss our mothers today, and on any and all other days because they have passed away: let us allow any grief or deep sadness that we might feel be coupled with deep gratitude that they were in our lives for the time we did have with them. More than focusing on our loss and being deprived, let's cherish the love we felt and still feel for them, and from them. On days like Mother’s Day, and on other days it is a common experience, for those whose mothers have passed over and who enjoyed loving relationships with them, to feel intense pain and longing. They may dread or hate this particular day, especially when they see other people whose mothers are alive, and in close proximity, going out and about celebrating and enjoying time with them. According to an NPR/Ipsos poll conducted at the end of last year, 17% of Americans asserted that the following statement is true: “A group of Satan-worshipping elites who run a child sex ring are trying to control our politics and media.” Of those respondents, 37% were unsure whether the statement is true or not. Fewer than half identified it as false. As the reader would know, the above claim is central to QAnon conspiracy theory, the wide-ranging set of claims that circulate on the internet about a “deep state” that threatens conservative values. QAnon posts or “drops,” commonly presented as coded messages, tell readers that they are victims of misinformation from government bureaucracies, established scientific communities, and the mainstream media. A two-week-old baby boy who was killed after his pram was struck by a car died as a result of "major trauma", an inquest heard. Tragic Ciaran Leigh Morris was pinned to a wall by a BMW that mounted the pavement in Brownhills, West Mids., at around 4pm on Easter Sunday (April 4). The newborn tot was rushed to Walsall Manor Hospital after being given CPR at the scene but nothing could be done to save his life despite the best efforts of medics. James Paul Davis, 34, of Walsall, has appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
