This visit is expected to contribute to intensifying the Vietnam – Bangladesh cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between the two armies in general and the two navy forces in particular. During the visit, the captain of the ship will pay a courtesy visit to leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and Naval Region 2 Command. Both sides will exchange experience in fields of mutual concern. Sailors of the ship will visit some historical and scenic sites in the city and participate in sports events with officers and soldiers from the Naval Region 2 Command. Corvette BNS PROTTOY, with 23 officers and 116 sailors on board, is a Type 065 light corvette made in China. The 90.1m long BNS PROTTOY has a beam of 11.14m with a displacement of 1.300 tons and a maximum speed of nearly 25.5 knots.
