Nintendo returns to one of the earliest Fire Emblem games, with a remake that is the perfect jumping on point for new players. Kingdom Hearts 4 announced with first trailer but it's not set in Tokyo Nintendo has its big name, superstar franchises but the reason it's able to make games like Super Smash Bros. is that it also has several other tiers of increasing less famous series. Until recently Fire Emblem was very near the bottom, and about to be mothballed if 2013's Fire Emblem Awakening hadn't been a hit. But it was, and suddenly the series has found itself thrust into the limelight, using its newfound fame to fast-track everything from a mobile app to this remake of one of the series' very first entries. The first Fire Emblem to be released in the West was on the Game Boy Advance in 2003, but in Japan the series stretches all the way back to the NES era. The very first entry has already been remade as Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon on the DS, but this is a remake of the second game.
